Farewell Flabby Arms!

I hope you guys had a great Cinco de Mayo holiday weekend.  I spent my weekend in California celebrating a friend’s wedding – it was amazing!  The sun was shining and I finally got to wear some of my favorite sundresses.  On that note, nothing looks better in a sleeveless sundress than nice toned arms.  So, check out this arm workout that I designed to get you on a “Michelle Obama level.”  You’ll need 2 medium dumbbells to complete the exercises.  This is a nice workout to tag on to the end of a cardio sweat session.  You can workout with me in real-time by watching the video (click play above) or do the workout on your own (follow the instructions below).  Either way, be sure to try it out and let me know how it goes!

Enjoy rockin’ those sundresses #getitgurl

  1. Brit, thank you so much for this arm workout. My arms are one of my BIGGEST problem areas. I feel like I have tried everything but they are still so fatty as well as flabby. I will do this suggested workout. Do you think you could do a video for this? Your other workout vids have really helped and encouraged me. Thank you for all you do!!

  2. I just did this and have now officially declared my arms dead for one week’s time. THANK YOU!

Q: what size weights do you use for this? I only used 8 pounders but some of these (especially side raises) were SO killer that I’d be scared to try more!

    1. yay glad you liked! the side raises are very challenging, sometimes I just use 5 pounds, but I really try to use 8 pounds throughout the entire workout. 😉

  3. Brit, Thank you so much for the workout outline! I am doing it tomorrow. The video was really helpful so I can make sure I am doing the excercises correctly. I can’t wait to see what else you have on your site!

  4. Hi Brit!
I found this workout through Pinterest and did it today with my friend. It was a killer! We used 5 lbs weights and it was really challenging. I was wondering, how often/week should we do this routine before we can see results? We have already made adjustments to our diet and we do cardio 2-3 times a week (running mostly and spinning). I am not sure whether or not you have a workout that targets the back, stomach area and inner tights? If you do, we’d love to try those too.
Thank you for this great workout 🙂

    1. so glad you enjoyed the arm workout Kalieta! yes – there are tons of workouts on my blog, just look at the menu bar of gritbybrit.com and click on the body part that you want to work – happy sweating! Keep in touch 😉

How often would you suggest doing the arm workout? 3 times a week? more? less?

        Thank you!

        1. I recommend 2 or 3 times per week but make sure to rest at least one day between arm workouts – enjoy!

  5. i worked shoulders and triceps today and this was really killer. You should do a leg pyramid back pyramid etc. This was a nice burn!
